California has the lowest literacy rates in the nation - nearly 1 in 4 adults struggle to decipher the words in this sentence. Through our educational programs and advocacy efforts, we aim to increase literacy and academic outcomes for California students.

CEJA's mission is to ensure that every student has equal access to a high-quality education, regardless of their background or circumstances. Education is a fundamental human right and every child should have the opportunity to reach their highest potential.
What We Do
We put students first. We advocate for literacy and provide kids with the resources and support needed to succeed.

Access to a quality education should not be dependent on financial means. We offer all of our services on a sliding scale, allowing us to serve the diverse needs of our community and ensuring every student can benefit equally.
